The Valley Patriots traveled to Guthrie this past Thursday to take on the Jaguars in a non-district football contest. Valley opened up with a 30 point first quarter,on their way to a 64-14 win. Valley was led offensively by senior running back Adrian Espinoza, who had 254 yards rushing and 7 touchdowns. Dax Allen chipped in 42 yards rushing and a touchdown. After giving up a couple of early TDs, the Patriot defense tightened up and shut out the Jaguars the rest of the way. Paden Rothwell and Zack Stumbo led the defense with 8 tackles each.
The Patriots will next be at home Friday night as they will take on the Lubbock Titans in the annual homecoming game for Valley. The junior high will also be in action Friday. The Junior high will play at5:30, with the varsity to follow at 7:30. We need to fill up the stands Friday and cheer both groups on to a big win! Go Blue!
