Valley JV Girls---Updated Weekly

Jan 20, 2012-----JV GIRLS DEFEAT SPUR
 The Jv girl's basketball team traveled to Motley County Friday afternoon, where they met the Spur JV girls for a game. The game was fairly close for a half, with Valley holding a 19-11 advantage at the half. The third quarter saw Valley outscore Spur 22-2 to take a commanding 41-13 lead, in route to a 52-19 win. Makenzie Standlee and Monica Alanis led all scores with 13 points apiece. Haley Wheeler followed with 11 points. Others scoring were Kodie Saul with 6, Shelby Shannon-4, Shawna Davis-2, Colleen Hancock-2, and Esmarelda Cruz with 1 point. Great job JV girls!

Jan 17, 2012-----JV LADY PATRIOTS DEFEAT CROWELL


The Valley JV girls met the Crowell JV girls in Paducah last Tuesday evening for a basketball game. Valley would dominate from the start, and come away with a 46-16 win. All eight players for Valley found the scoring column, with Monica Alanis leading the way with 11 points. Other scoring totals were as follows: Esmarelda Cruz-7, Makenzie Standlee-6, Kodie Saul-7, Shelby Shannon-5, Shawna Davis-4, Jessi Messer-4, and Colleen Hancock with two points. Great job JV girls

 

Girl's basketball is in full swing, with the varsity having won both their first games. The JV girls also started strong with wins over Plainview Christian and Meadow. Saturday evening saw these girls defeat Meadow by a 58-13 score. Makenzie Standlee and Kodie Saul led all scorers with 20 and 13 points respectively. Others scoring were Shawna Davis-8, Monica Alanis-7, Esmerelda Cruz-6, and Shelby Shannon and Jessi Messer with 2 points each. Tuesday the girls played Pca, and won by a 55-14 score. Makenzie Standlee once again led all scorers with 16 points. Shelby Shannon added 8 points, and Shawna Davis and Colleeen Hancock followed with 7 points each. Others scoring were Macy Valdez-6, Jessi Messer-5, Esmerelda Cruz-4, and Kodie Saul with 2 points. Congratulations girls on a great start.
